This is something I’ve been meaning to post up for a while, inspired by a blog post by my mate in London a few weeks ago I spent an afternoon watching Billy T. James videos on Youtube. Billy T. was the man eh, we’ve got Flight Of The Conchords and what not taking over the world these days but to me there will never be another comedian that comes close to Billy T, he put on for Aotearoa!
The following is my all-time favourite Billy T clip, check it out and share your favourite videos and memories in the comments yo…

A lot of my friends are jockin’ this track, which I give about a 6 out of 10. The video is what happens when you enlist every extra from The Air Up There to recreate “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See” in your living room. Can’t tell whether I like it more or less now. Kanye’s still the mantis for doing whatever the fuck he feels like.
If your feeling this, peep Royce Da 5’9′ - “Shot Down”. Mean.

In his absolute awesomeness Tom sent me Monday’s joint from the “Last Week” EP at 11:32PM last night, lol, plus I’ve been pretty flat out today (exam season is approaching) hence the delay. But if you can use your imagination and pretend it’s still Monday this shit will make sense ha.
…and here’s Tuesday’s joint, enjoy…

Tom from Home Brew got at me last week and told me ’bout this cool EP he’d been working on. The basic concept is that Tom’s recorded a track for every day of the week, and taking a page outta Dave’s book is gonna release a track per day for free, all good eh! Me and Tom go back a few years and he’s a really funny cunt plus I like what he’s about so hopefully you’ll enjoy this shit too.
Now don’t get me wrong, ain’t nothing like a good old fashioned fatal stabbing or episode of Home and Away to help liven up life when all you have to look forward to is an afternoon shit. And yeah I could listen to Raekwon talk about the different things you can do with baking soda till I gotta bite my iPod to get the battery working. But sometimes, just sometimes, when I’ve heard Necro rhyme syphilis 17 different ways, all I wanna do is chill out and listen to Q-Tip tell me ’bout the day he lost his wallet. ‘Cos I can relate to that. I ain’t ever been to El Segundo, but I’ve filled out an application for a new EFTPOS card and that shit is frustrating.
Anyway, what I’m trying to say is sometimes life is boring. It just is. So when you’re listening to the new EP from Home Brew (produced by Haz’ and DJ Truent), don’t be mad if the beats don’t sound like your favourite wrestlers intro music and the lyrics don’t make you head butt a bouncer. Just turn it up, grab a beer or a wine or whatever it is you prefer to drink, smoke, snort or shelve to take away from reality and relax.
And understand that ‘Last Week’ won’t give you the same adrenalin rush shop lifting will and it isn’t as exciting as that dude you know who named all his kids after X-Men characters. It’s just a normal seven track EP about everyday life. Seven tracks we wrote last week about.. well.. last week. And really bro.. That’s it.
