Paint it gold…
Don’t know how many Atmosphere fans there are out there, but this one has been pretty interesting for me. Atmosphere have an album coming out this month and to promote it they have created a series of youtube videos called “Paint it gold”. They have asked people to send in questions and they answer them each week. Most of the questions, acting and production value has been lame, but I thought this might be of interest to the artists out there. I would love to see a New Zealand artist do a similar thing.
People are using the internet to create a buzz for their forth-coming releases. There are so many different ways to do this; whether it’s the intentional leak of a record, emotional blogs, or what Atmosphere has done here.
Or you could go the traditional route and send your CD to magazines – Just don’t try anything too tricky.

I love atmosphere.
There stuff of late is horrible though man. That last album they dropped was average at the best..
Smart when crazys an ok track.. Bring back the Overcast! days man…

Haha you win some, you lose some. I posted it more for the whole viral marketing thing not because I’m Atmosphere’s biggest fan.
Haven’t listened to them since the Lucy Ford Ep.
