Damn, I was waiting all day for this yesterday and it’s finally arrived. Here’s the video for the best song of last year. It’s out of it, definitely not what I was expecting. I was picturing a 2008 version of that George Michael video where he had all the supermodels on the catwalk.

After watching it the first time, I was like “What the hell? Is that it?” But after rewatching it a couple times, I get it. It’s like a short story. A “slice of life”, so to speak. That’s actually a really cool idea. I do wish it was a bit longer though.

We missed out on a Dwele show in NZ because of this song. Dwele was touring at the end of 2007 with a band but his price had skyrocketed because of ‘Flashing Lights’.
i.e. far more than Slum Village & Phat Kat put together.
