“P-Money is for the children”
I just read on P-Money’s blog this morning that he’s going to be producing a posse cut to address the violence that has plagued New Zealand this year. Apparently the joint will feature an impressive line-up of Aotearoa’s best local hip hop talent which he did not reveal. Sounds exciting, I hope this joint sounds ill but more importantly that it achieves it objective of making individuals think about their actions and the consequences.
While on the topic of violence the shit that has been troubling me is the number of people who have shown support for the man who fatally stabbed 15-year-old tagger Pihema Clifford Cameron last week. I can understand some people’s frustration at tagging but that does not justify murdering someone. In terms of degree of severity tagging and murder do not equate. People are getting up in arms about kids tagging but there’s worse shit they could be doing, like running around stabbing people to death, oh wait a minute…

I totally agree – if it was some Islander guy who killed some 15 year old white boy, best believe it would be a totally different slant on the story. tsk tsk.
