Cuz, is the new promo video from local skate brand ABC – who’ve been gaining mad momentum in recent months. For those unaware of them you may have seen their ‘Money, Shoes, Clothes’ or ‘Notorious ABC’ t shirts on everyone from tall tee wearing hip hop cunts to high street scenesters.

This promo vid is a good showcase of how fucken mean their skate team is, and serves as a good intro of the young dudes(Toby Locke, Farhad) to the wider public. It’s crazy to me that this is a promo vid now, in years gone by this wouldve been a full on NZ production and then some.

Honestly, dont fuck around ay. I watched this yesterday, knowing nothing about it prior and thinking it was gonna be some boring ‘Dances with wolves’ type shit. How wrong I was – the Coen brothers did ‘Fargo’ and ‘The Big Lebowski’ so that helps to explain some of it’s awesome-ness .. but still. Javier Bardem should be a shoo-in for the best supporting actor oscar otherwise “those awards lose credibility” as Kanye would say. I’m not even gonna get into the plot etc(you can read about it here) – just go watch it. Trust me.

Before the Xmas break Slick was telling me about his idea to do a wrap of 2007 (which he has already upped) and I told him I’d do the same. 3 days into the New Year and I thought it’s about time I do this, so in the spirit of list-making, here’s my year in review – firstly in music, then another more generalised one to follow. All the best in 08 folks.
