So how about that weather ?

Milford Beach , ay ??
How hectic was yesterday for all you Auckland and North Island dwelling folk? Condolences to anyone from Northland, shit looked ruff. Funnily enough I just happened to decide to go see my mate Nick who lives on the shore yesterday afternoon. Good move. Coming home meant, no streetlights from Devonport all the way to the motorway onramp and more branches and debris on the road then I think I’ve seen in my lifetime. Add to that no traffic lights at 4 way intersections and I was starting to get visions of Hurricane Katrina. Even went to the trouble of parking the car on the marshland which used to be our backyard instead of parking it out front cause the tree I usually park under was sounding like it’d had enough.
The Herald website has got a pretty comprehensive write up of the whole dealy, but I couldnt find anything about the motorcyclist’s who got blown off their bikes on the harbour bridge. Anyone got the scoop? Holla.

‘At 6pm last night police warned people to stay indoors and motorcyclists to stay off the Harbour Bridge after two people were blown off their bikes.’
that’s on the second page of the ‘Thieves…’ article in the herald.

This weather makes me hate being a public transport user even more. Running in the rain, the wind fucking my umbrella up, the bus coming late… all after an 8 hour work day, awesome.

A big ass branch(pretty much a tree itself) from the neighbour’s tree fell on our side the fence and into the middle of our driveway. And so I casually just threw it back over the fence. thats about as much as the weather affected me.
