I had a chat with Pharoahe Monch yesterday morning, I intended to keep the conversation brief but we ended up going for almost half an hour, I’ve chopped it up into chunks and I’ve put links to it at the bottom of this post. For those of you who haven’t got time to listen to it in it’s entirety I’m gonna play a more condensed version tomorrow night on Trueschool. Thanks to Aroha at 95bFM for hooking it up and also for hassling Universal into releasing Pharoahe’s new album ‘Desire’ in New Zealand… apparently Universal weren’t gonna bother, lol. The album will be in stores from August 6th, if you can’t wait that long Beat Merchants has the import.

I got ‘Desire’ last week and it’s been on constant rotation since, it is without a doubt one of my favourite albums this year. It’s solid from start to finish and it’s difficult to pinpoint one highlight ‘cos there are too many but I think that ‘Terrordome’ cover is ill! I’ll chuck a couple of vids from the album up in a moment…
