Louie Knuxx told me the other night that he’d been recording with Milan Borich for his Cancer project… I paused at first ‘cos I thought he was referring to 2Face, the Yugo MC from Palmerston North… then I realised he was talking about the vocalist from Pluto.

Normally I wouldn’t attempt to hype up music that I haven’t yet heard but this is an exception. Louie Knuxx is one of my favourite rappers, his album ‘Wasted Youth’ is still one of my all-time favourites (I listened to it almost every day on the way to school for the past semester), and Pluto are one of the meanest bands to come out of New Zealand so it’s entirely natural for me to be excited. Cross-genre combinations often sound forced and don’t always work, see BTNH with Phil Collins, however in this case I think Louie Knuxx and Milan are complementary and no doubt will produce some dark, dark  fucked up drug-influenced music… beautiful! Let’s hope it lives up to our high expectations!
